Scammers sell stolen tractor to swindle three lakh rupees
A man from Uttar Pradesh was the victim of a two-lakh fraud under the pretext of buying a tractor by thugs from Hansi in the Hisar district of Haryana. Hansi police registered a complaint against three people based on the complaint of Sunderpal, a resident of Garhmukteshwar district in Uttar Pradesh. An FIR for fraud was filed by the police.
According to FIR, three young people sold a stolen tractor to Sunderpal and defrauded it for Rs 2.4 lakh. In the complaint, Sundarpal mentioned that he needed a tractor a few months ago. Together with his friend Surendra Singh, he came to Hansi to buy a tractor and got in touch with Sandeep and Praveen, residents of Matloda village in Hisar. Through them, he met Aman, a resident of Suryanagar.
The trio showed Sunderpal a Massey Ferguson 241 tractor to Hansi, who had no documents. The accused asked Sunderpal to pay Rs 3,70,000, but the victim only paid Rs 2.4 lakh and agreed to pay the balance after getting the documents. Sunderpal later made full payment when the three handed over documents.
A few months later, Sunderpal sold the tractor to Hapur. However, after a few days, the police reached her accommodation while investigating the case of a stolen tractor. The police team informed him that the tractor was stolen.
This is how the fraud case came to light. Sunderpal alleged that the trio had duped him of Rs 3.7 lakh into giving false documents. All the accused are on the run.
